wwwwhhhoooooaaaaaaa !!!

Heheheeee, another post beginning with a crazy exclamation, but just look at this one - how much fun was this ?!

Grab a free chute and try out your freefall at Allure or Ganymede

And the crazy story... I was out at Allure one night with Blu, we were teleporting up to the base and hopping on the octopus-rocket thing to get up to 5000 metres for the freefall and SL started to play up. So we relogged, as you do, and came back to try again. About halfway down in freefall I suddenly realised that we were neither of us wearing our parachutes. Imagine the crazy scurry, panic and scramble to get them on before we hit the deck!

I can still hear Blu yelling, "Sandry....... Ohhh Chuuuuuuuuuuute !!!!"

Knee Deep in Sky High*

...or rather, "Neck Deep in clear Blue Sea" ...

We were out at the beautiful Dragon Moon Island shooting photos for the Firework Girl Clothing Series, we'd stooped shooting and were afk whilst uploading to, and looking at and choosing photos from the buckets. I came back to the SL viewer quickly on the sound of an in-coming IM, and there was poor Blu up to her neck in the sea.

The IM was an apology from the girl who'd lost contol of her borrowed wave-rider, crashed into Blu who was stood close to the shore-line and knocked her, base-over-apex, into the water.

From the look on her boat I'd say that Blu wasn't best pleased.

"Help..." she called out to me,

"What the hell happened ?" she asked,

Of course, that big, frowing, not-best-pleased expression might have been because by the time she got back to the SL viewer to read her own copy of the IMed apology, yours truly was sitting at the waterside curled up laughing...

Blu Sparkle

Blu is my best friend in SL and as good a new friend as I've made (anywhere,) in a long while. She's also my business partner in LogSpark International our SL fledgeling clothing, millinery and furniture enterprise. The photo is from the shoot for the 'Teal Appeal' version of our Snakeskin Series... great shot eh? Stadium-style rock'n'roll star or what?

It all started with a chance meeting one morning, I was looking for cheap 512s (first land parcels) in Jarang and Ettum and I'd just shot off to look at, (what looked like,) a sensibly priced plot... in flew a tall slim girl with a blonde updo.

"Hello" she said, "Do you own this land?"
"Hiya," I replied with a smile, "No I just came to look at it, but the price is more when I check it here, on the ground, than when I saw it on the world-map."
"Oh," says she, "I used to own it myself, I just came back to see what had become of it and I thought you might be the new owner."

Things change fast in SL you see, it transpired that Blu had sold her First Land plot in the revious day or so. The buyer must have thought he'd got it at a good price and had immediately put it back on the market whereupon another property agent had snapped it up, marked it up again and put it back on the market for a third time. I had seen the 'middle one' of these prices and flown down there, only to find that the world map hadn't been able to keep up with the rapid changes.

"I'm a C&W sort of a girl," said Ms Sparkle, "Do you know where I might find any cool clothes and boots?"
A Country fan I might not be, but let me tell you that I will live and probably die in RL in cowboy boots, "Try Tami McCoys" I said as I delved in my Inv for an LM. "...or better still Nevermore, they have *great* boots! I just bought mine from there."

Thus continued the conversation for a half hour or more as we swapped Land Marks, experiences and general SL tips. I think it was during this inaugural meeting that we, albeit light heartedly, suggested that we start up a joint venture and go into virtual business. Be careful what you wish for, a few weeks later LogSpark was born.

She'll tell you otherwise every time but this girl is the true star of LogSpark International, if it weren't for her there'd be no smart stores at Dickens or RFyre and I'd still be running around looking like a n00b! No offence intended to the new SL folk by the way, we all have to start somewhere, and sometimes I think that I'm still a newbie too.

Here's a couple more gratuitous photos, erm... you did know this blog was for trivial SL stuff like an abundance of photos, didn't you? OK, jolly good... I thought so. This one is Blu and me in her beautiful random-flower garden.

The flowers are generated by a script inside the bench, they grow all over the front lawn lasting for a period of thirty seconds or so and then disappear, to be replaced by some new ones, -they even look good in the dark.

The street lamps run all along the southern edge of Blu's superb property, they're just freebies from Yadni's that we customised to switch on and off at a touch. They're full-bright only at the time of writing, the new prim lighting effects hadn't been introduced, or is that re-introduced? Anyway, if ever we get the time away from the rest of the LogSpark endeavours, they might be due an upgrade.

Whilst I'm enthusing about Blu and her beautiful garden, you'd better see the beautiful house too.

Isn't that gorgeous? ...Oh if only I had such good taste.

If I am to be brutally honest here I should also tell you that the photo was cunningly composed so as not to reveal the construction to the south-west of Blu's place. She calls it 'the monstrosity,' I haven't seen the owner but apparently he has big black wings with cobwebs on them. Hey, Mr Nosferatu, she's not wrong, I'm telling you! We can help you with your taste if you so desire, or I have 50kL waitng for you, all you have to do is drop me a discreet IM, I'll arrive with a manilla envelope stuffed full of folding-stuff and we can move along and go about our respective business :c)
